If governments or businesses perceive that the Woke ideology will decrease their power or money, then they may be tempted to drive ownership and control of production away from those they deem to be “non-woke”.  They may want to erase or censor the “non-woke”.

 

Can they do that?  Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. In 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Title VII also applied to employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

 

This author argues that “If the tenets of wokeness play the same role in one’s life that religion does, making sense of the universe in the same way religion does, then wokeness is a religion, legally.”

 

The “Religion of Wokeness” is also referred to as “Social Religion”, or “Social Justice”. Others call it “the Popularity Gospel” or the “New American Religion”.

 

The Woke Religion has three main doctrines: diversity, inclusion, and equity. These are the highest and loftiest goals for a Woke religionist to obtain.

 

To accomplish D.I.E. they created various terms to condemn things they knew would divide people. Terms like “whiteness,” “intersectionality,” “white privilege,” “micro-aggression,” and “systemic racism.”  Prager U has various five minute videos exposing these t erms. In reality Wokeism is Cultural Marxism.

 

And those who do not chant their chants, repeat their slogans, speak from their lexicon, or march in their parades are deemed to be racists, bigots, and prejudiced. And it is not enough that people not oppose them…they must be with them or else. Very intolerant.

 

But the truth is that very few Americans are racists. Americans fought a war to establish equity. Americans passed laws that denounce racism. Americans taught their children a littel song in church, “That Jesus loves the little children…all the children of the world… Red and Yellow, Black and White…they are prioeous in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world. 

 

The definitions of words is important. Christians define the “D.I.E.” words as follows: 

 

DIVERSITY –  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.  

 

“Diversity without commonality ends in people sorting themselves into tribes who fight each other over who gets what.” 

 

INCLUSION Romans 10:9 explains inclusion – “If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead you will be saved.” All people are equally invited to be included. 

 

Ephesians 1:13 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.”

 

If you do not follow Christ then you will follow another. 

 

If you are not fairly treated as an American Citizen, then take action based on the information offered in the second paragraph in this article.  

 

EQUITY – “The American Dream is “From many, one”. True followers of Christ have compassion toward all people. In the history of the world, Christianity has established hospitals, foster homes, schools, crisis centers, churches, and many other agencies to help people in need. 

 

True Christians must speak the truth to all people in the church, business and government who want to “divide and conquer” us for money, power, fame or some other passing value.  

 

We must go back to the schools and address the teachers who are teaching this mindless “wokism.”  If we are silent, then we will pay the price.
